The Role We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Winnipeg-based Electrical Department. In this role, you’ll assist with electrical design of multi-disciplinary projects. You’ll work with experienced engineers and subject matter experts designing the project to completion. You will be part of a team conducting technical work for various studies, engineering designs, preparation of construction drawings and specifications, and carrying out inspections. You will be working in a collaborative environment with a great team of engineers, technicians, scientists, and other industry-leading peers. Key Responsibilities Provide electrical design for small to large industrial and hydroelectric projects Work in a team environment with our other electrical department personnel and administrative staff, assisting with the preparation of construction drawings, documents, and reports Perform calculations Witness inspections and support project work on site as required Perform other duties as assigned About You Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university; a post graduate degree would be an asset Must be registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer in Training with EGM (Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba) Previous consulting experience is an asset Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code and other relevant codes and standards is an asset Availability to periodically travel to project sites on an as required basis for ½ day or 1-day site visits, typically for data collection, review of construction or attendance at coordination or design review meetings Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checks Ability to adapt to and meet the challenges of a variety of different projects from clients in many different industries KGS Group is an employee-owned equal opportunity company offering an excellent total compensation and benefits package for employees. Requirements

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized university is required, and candidates must be registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer in Training with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. Consulting experience and knowledge of relevant Canadian codes are assets; a valid driver's license, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel and undergo security checks are also required.
