What you’ll do

The carpenter is responsible for reading blueprints to prepare layouts and assembling materials made of wood, steel, and other substitutes. Key tasks include building foundations, erecting walls and roof systems, and installing windows, doors, and hardware.

Requirements

Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience and a non-university certificate or diploma in a related field. Required certifications include WHMIS, Fall Arrest Protection, and Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS).
