Job summary

KI Health Services is recruiting for Disability Support Workers who have experience in home settings and working with clients with low to high care needs. You will be responsible for working directly with people with disabilities to engage in community access activities and support and encourage the clients I independent skill building with the home. These activities are designed to enrich the clients independence and confidence in their own home, to maintain family & friends interactions and to enhance community inclusion, meeting their short and long term goals. Our absolute passion is our clients, and helping them achieve their lifestyle goals, whilst being provided with incomparable care services What We Are Seeking In Our Support Workers Have an amazing can-do attitude Must be Reliable and committed to making a difference to our clients Able to provide all aspects of daily living activities Can build positive relationships and can communicate well with those they work with Enjoy working independently, flexibly, and as part of a diverse team Are experienced working across disability and mental health environments (desirable)Flexible and able to backfill leave requirements with short notice Willing and able to embrace change Are professional and know how to provide high quality, active person-centered support Experience or exposure to working with people with different abilities Dedicated individuals committed to the best outcomes for the people they support.Ability to promote independence and choice. Willingness to provide assistance with light domestic duties and meal preparation. Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community other duties as required from time to time ‍

Requirements

Candidates should have a can-do attitude, reliability, and experience working in disability and mental health environments. Ability to provide daily living assistance and promote client choice and independence is essential.
