Kichton Construction LP is looking for full-time Grader Operators to join our team in Fort McMurray working at Fort Hills for Suncor. Compensation And Benefits Are Important, And We Offer Lots Competitive hourly wages, OT after 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week Performance evaluation after 90 days to access wage/competency level 9.6% Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck. Benefits after your ninety-day probationary period Transportation to and from site. PPE provided, just bring your own CSA certified steel toed boots. Room for growth and future advancements Where You’ll Be Working Site: Fort Hills Schedule: 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours). 14 days on, 7 off. 14 nights on, 7 off. Camp accommodation is provided with your own room and bathroom Flights are provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after rotation). What You’ll Be Doing Operate 14 and 16 size Graders in a mining or heavy construction earthworks environment Complete pre-use equipment inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition Participate in the safe fueling and servicing of equipment Interact with loading and dumping equipment Follow mine driving rules Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards, and procedures Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including all required PPE Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements Report any necessary repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors Report all incidents, near misses or damage immediately Qualifications Minimum one year experience in a mining atmosphere preferred Familiar and comfortable working in a production environment Must be able to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation A safety-first attitude Attentive and possess strong listening skills Be proficient in English, both verbally and written Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License Benefits Extended Health and Dental care Vision Travel Paramedicals Life and dependent life insurance, AD&D $300 health spending account per year
