About us Scare Your Friends is a virtual reality attraction by Kilonova Interactive Inc. running at Saunders Farm this Halloween season. One guest puts on a VR headset, and their friends control the scares from a tablet while everyone watches the reactions on a big screen. About the role We're looking for outgoing, high-energy people to be the face of the experience. This is an on-your-feet role: you'll greet guests passing around the grounds, tell them about the experience, and get them excited to try it. If you love talking to strangers and making people laugh, you'll be great at this. What you'll do Greet guests and explain how the experience works Run on-site promotions, like discounts and giveaways Hand out flyers and promo cards around the grounds Hype up the crowd watching reactions on the big screen Help keep the line moving and assist players as needed You're a great fit if you Are outgoing, confident, and comfortable approaching strangers Have experience in sales, retail, promotions, events, theatre, or camp counselling (a plus, not required) Are reliable for evenings and weekends through Halloween Love Halloween, or at least love a good scream Are 16+ and have transportation to Saunders Farm Details Pay: $20-30/hour + commission per session sold Hours: 15–30 hours per week. Mostly evenings (6–11pm) and weekend shifts (morning/evening), with more hours in the final week of October. Location: Saunders Farm, [7893 Bleeks Rd, Ottawa, ON K0A 3P0] Commission: On top of your hourly pay, you'll earn commission for every session you sell. The more people you bring in, the more you make. Top performers on busy nights can earn a significant bonus.

Requirements

Applicants should be outgoing, confident, comfortable approaching strangers, and reliable for evening and weekend shifts during the Halloween season. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and have transportation to Saunders Farm; experience in sales, retail, promotions, events, theatre, or camp counselling is a plus but not required.
