Job summary
Who You Are Kinetic Custom Trailers is seeking motivated and reliable Materials & Logistics Technicians to support our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and internal material flow to ensure production runs efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Materials Control * Count, weigh, and verify materials for accuracy * Maintain accurate inventory records and bin locations * Perform cycle counts and support inventory audits * Assist in resolving discrepancies (shortages, overages, damaged goods) * Support Kanban and replenishment systems Production & Internal Logistics Support * Prepare and deliver parts kits to the production floor * Manage internal material requests and ensure timely delivery * Safely move materials to designated storage or production areas * Maintain alignment with production schedules to support workflow Systems & Documentation * Process material transactions in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV) * Maintain accurate and timely records of all material movements * Ensure traceability and documentation compliance Safety & Equipment * Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely * Maintain required certifications (forklift; crane/rigging considered an asset) * Follow all PPE and workplace safety protocols * Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately Continuous Improvement & Team Support * Contribute to 5S and lean initiatives within the warehouse * Identify opportunities to improve material flow and organization * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment * Support team members and collaborate across departments Required Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse or industrial shipping/receiving role preferred * Experience in manufacturing or production environments is an asset * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly * Comfortable with standing, walking, and manual handling throughout the shift Preferred (but not required): * Forklift certification required (or willingness to obtain) * Overhead crane/rigging certification is an asset What We Offer * Competitive Pay: $24.50 - 29.00, based on experience * Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, paid holidays and paid time off * Growth Opportunities: Continuing education and growth into specialized roles is encouraged. * Team Environment: Work in a collaborative, continuous improvement-focused production shop * Stability: Full-time, permanent position with consistent hours Schedule & Work Details * Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM * Location: Penticton, BC * Environment: Industrial manufacturing environment, shop floor and office.
