Our Bulk Business Unit provides various solutions for transporting bulk materials. We are seeking a Manager to oversee our Winnipeg yard and transload facilities. Description of the Role: The Manager, Bulk Yard Operations, will oversee the day-to-day safe operation of our yard and transload facilities, leading a small team of equipment operators, labourers and an office administrator. The Manager will be part of the leadership team to identify and maximize transload opportunities in providing quality bulk services to our customers. The Manager will have a hands-on approach in supporting the team and achieving goals by drawing on existing skills and know-how in the safe and effective operation of our off-road equipment and operating systems (belts, conveyors). Knowledge & Experience to: * Leadership skills to oversee the safe and effective operation of the handling and transfer of various commodities. * Practical hands-on knowledge of offroad equipment and product transfer systems i.e. rail, loaders, forklifts, belts and conveyor systems. * Plan, coach and direct the day-to-day responsibilities of the team and identify training and development needs. * Hands on approach to support to accomplish peak and seasonal demands. * Collaborate with Bulk dispatch and Industrial Products business unit in the planning of product loading and unloading to meet both yard operation capacity and throughput and customer requirements. * Work closely with our shop in preventative maintenance and repairs of off road and operating systems. * Identify opportunities for development and expansion of yard utilization and facilities. * Contribute to the business strategies with a forward-thinking approach to support short and long-term goals. * Communicate and foster relationships, influence and negotiate solutions. * Manage work schedule to accommodate after hours/weekend support.
