Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to): General equipment maintenance and maintenance planning Knowledge of various grains and pulses Monitoring cleaning equipment and facilities Adjusting machinery settings to maximize cleaning efficiency Operate forklifts, grain augers, tractors, trucks, etc Interaction with retail clients and truckers Loading and unloading customer trucks Maintaining records of incoming products and throughput Sample grading during processing and cleaning for quality control Plant and yard clean up as required Assist other plan personnel as needed Seed treating and packaging Must be able to work independently Skills and Qualifications: Prior Seed Plant, Feed Mill or grain handling experience required. Class 5 Driver's License required; Class 3 or Class 1 considered an asset Ability to operate warehouse equipment Thorough understanding of seed handling, packaging, and treatment process Ability to lift and carry heavy items (over 50lbs) on a regular basis Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance RRSP match Partially Subsidized Counselling Employee Referral Incentive Wage: $25.00–$32.00/hour, negotiable based on experience, plus a $2.00/hour night-shift premium for night-shift hours worked.
