The Senior Legal Resolutions Officer is the most senior non-management role in Kreditor Services, carrying legal collections criteria and responsibilities while working active legal files in partnership with the paralegal in carriage of the portfolio. This role holds portfolio-specific access to the litigation desk and direct access to the licensee to remediate active legal files. Working within balance ranges ($2,000 and above), with additional client-specific legal desk access to continue the remediation process, the Senior Legal Resolutions Officer negotiates complex settlements and settlement terms, conducts pre-legal vetting and legal-stage remediation, and completes asset and employment verification in support of legal enforcement. This role requires a working knowledge of the legal process and procedures, and strict adherence to KSI Law's compliant, procedural, and ethical standards within this scope. Senior Legal Resolutions Officers support the litigation and enforcement process, working with the licensee in carriage of each portfolio. Annual Salary: Up to $80,000, depending on experience [floor needed] + monthly bonus [formula pending] · Benefits eligible As a Senior Legal Resolutions Officer, you will be: Litigation Desk & Legal File Remediation Holding portfolio-specific access to the litigation desk and direct access to the paralegal in carriage of the portfolio Issuing customized legal channels to remediate active legal files Continuing the remediation process on active legal files using legal desk access alongside each licensee Legal Portfolio Management Managing legal-stage portfolios of accounts valued at $2,000 and above across all provinces, working active legal files in partnership with the paralegal in carriage of the portfolio Supporting KSI Law's pre-litigation and litigation-stage remediation process through accurate portfolio oversight Legal Vetting & Pre-Legal Suitability Conducting Pre-Legal Suitability vetting and legal-stage remediation on active legal files Completing asset and employment verification in support of legal enforcement Autonomous Debtor Communication Communicating with debtors across all communication channels Negotiating complex settlements and structuring terms of settlement directly with debtors Supporting the legal enforcement process — working alongside the licensee in carriage of the portfolio Credit Analysis & Debtor Profiling Conducting in-depth credit analysis to assess debtor asset and liability profiles Using credit and financial profiling to inform settlement strategy and legal-stage file prioritization Documentation, Compliance & Internal Collaboration Upholding the professional standards KSI Law maintains as a law firm regulated by the Law Society of Ontario, with strict adherence to KSI Law's compliant, procedural, and ethical standards Collaborating directly with the licensee in carriage of each portfolio, including litigation-desk coordination Maintaining detailed, audit-ready documentation of all legal notices, remediation activity, and account communications Performance Accountability Meeting a monthly KPI on net new referrals and legal-file remediation outcomes Reporting on portfolio and litigation-desk performance in accordance with procedural and compliance requirements As our ideal candidate, you will bring: Required: Current status as a Paralegal (P1) licensed with the Law Society of Ontario, an NCA (National Committee on Accreditation) student in good standing, a lawyer newly called to the Bar of Ontario, or an equivalent legal qualification Demonstrated experience at the Tier 4 (Legal Resolutions Officer) level or equivalent, consistent with this being the most senior non-management role in Kreditor Services. Working knowledge of the legal process, litigation-stage procedures, and compliant collection practices Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to negotiate complex settlements and issue formal legal notices Proficiency with legal case-management tools, litigation desk systems, credit reporting systems, and CRM/dashboard platforms Preferred: Prior experience in collections, credit analysis, or legal support roles Familiarity with Canadian credit bureau reporting practices (Equifax, TransUnion) Location & Schedule: On-site — Markham, Ontario, Canada.
