Job Title/Role: SAP Basis Consultant Mode: Remote Type: Full-Time/contract Client: HCL Tech. Canada Role – SAP BASIS Mandatory Skills SAP Basis Years of Experience Required 8+ Responsibilities:  Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and technical disaster recovery of SAP Basis environments. These include but are not limited to servers running on Unix DB2, Windows with SQL Server & Linux on AWS, Azure & HANA environments.  Being a member of a team SAP system upgrades within ECC and into S/4.  Develop and implement SAP performance and maintenance monitoring process and analyze monitoring data for performance optimization opportunities.  Assist application and development teams in troubleshooting performance issues.  Ensure changes adhere to corporate practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled.  Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements:  Designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and performing SAP administration and tuning activities.  Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0, BW & BOBJ, CRM, GRC, GTS, SLT, BW on HANA, APO Business Objects Data Services, S/4  Experience working with SAP system upgrades/ Migrations from On-Prem to cloud offerings like Azure, AWS  DB2 administration is a strong plus along with experience managing other RDBMS like MS SQL, SAP HANA  Setup of SSO with Kerberos, SAML, SPNEGO  Ability to maintain and assist in the design and deployment of SAP systems effecting business processes and users at other global sites.  Experience in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 & 7.2 Installation, Upgrade of Solution Manager, CA Willy Introscope Installation & Configuration, CTS+ configuration  SAP Cloud connector and Cloud integrations support, BTP administration and operations  Fiori setup and configuration of apps, both analytical and transactional  Experience in RevTrac, SAP Enable Now, Signavio and EPIUSE is an added Bonus  Experience or familiarity with the Medical Device/Life Sciences Industry preferred. Skills and Abilities:  Ability to effectively communicate with individuals from various countries and vastly different cultures Classification: Internal  Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems involving database servers, load balancers and operating systems in a fast-paced environment  Ability to function effectively in a complex rapidly changing environment  Ability to provide recommendations to adjust systems or processes to prevent issue reoccurrence within the approved change management process  Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks and work effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment  Ability to conduct research into SAP and other systems issues and products as required  Willingness and ability to learn on the job and explore new technologies and openness  Willingness to take part in some weekend maintenance windows that are currently set at 12 a
