S26-20 – (1 Vacancy) Kubota Materials Canada specializes in high-performance alloys and friction materials from raw materials to finished products under one roof in Orillia, Canada. Manufacturing unique heat-resistant alloys and high-nickel/chrome alloys primarily for the petrochemical industries, Kubota leads the industry in quality and advanced technology. As per customer requirements, Kubota designs and casts centrifugal pipes and static castings of fittings, which are then machined, welded (Automatic, Semi-Automatic, Orbital & Manual), GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, followed by in-house NDT (RT, PT, VT), in-house DT, R&D lab, as well as hydro testing. Summary: Responsible to supervise the efforts of staff and initiatives for the Maintenance department for Kubota Materials Canada Corporation. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): * Monitor the performance of manufacturing plant equipment/machinery and implement preventative maintenance programs * Coordinate projects with Manager, Capital Projects and Manager, Maintenance to ensure safe and timely completion of projects * Supervise repairs to ensure minimal lost production time * Oversee sub-contractors, as needed, ensuring the quality of their repairs and that all required certificates are documented * Assist with site environmental conformance as well as hazardous material programs * Plan maintenance employees schedule as per forecasted workloads and priority areas * Ensure compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures and policies * Conduct safety inspections as scheduled on all facility systems * Oversee maintenance of exterior and inertial equipment * Ensure accurate inventory of department supplies; creating requisitions as needed * Ensure alignment with the overall Maintenance departmental goals and objectives * Support Kubota Global Identity, with the Brand and Spirit statements of Kubota Materials Canada Corporation * Participate in inventories as scheduled; both cycle counts and full inventory accounting * Work overtime to support maintenance team as required * Participate in Kaizen process Other related duties, as required What we offer: * Paid benefits (Health, Dental, LTD) and Pension Plan * 2 weeks vacation per year to start * Access to an EAP Program that offers mental health supports, resources and more * Continuous professional development opportunities to support career growth EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: * Certificated Industrial Electrician/Millwright/Machinist, required * Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing facility * Minimum 2 years experience leading staff or sub-contractors in the area of facility or equipment repairs * Previous experience working with government inspectors (for equipment, facility, safety and air quality facets) * Training courses in related Health and Safety * First Aid & CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain * Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite * Strong communication skills, including conflict management of staff We thank all applicants for their interest in Kubota Materials; however, only those under consideration will be contacted. What you’ll do

Supervise the maintenance department staff and initiatives to ensure the optimal performance of manufacturing plant equipment. Manage preventative maintenance programs, coordinate capital projects, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Requirements

Requires a professional certification as an Industrial Electrician, Millwright, or Machinist with at least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience. Must have at least 2 years of leadership experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
