Role Description The Accounting Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations across Kuthala Group’s divisions, including preparing and posting journal entries, assisting with month-end close activities, and reconciling accounts. The Accounting Associate helps in the preparation and review of financial statements, maintains accurate records in accounting software, and supports invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, supporting audits, and providing analytical support for management reports. The successful candidate will work closely with senior accounting and finance team members to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to assist in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements. Practical experience posting Journal Entries (Accounting) and managing general ledger activities. Proficiency with Accounting Software and related tools for data entry, reconciliations, and reporting. Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and support decision-making. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certification in progress (e.g., CPA) is an asset. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Experience in a multi-division or multi-entity environment and knowledge of Canadian accounting practices are considered an advantage.
