Job summary

Job Title: Network Architect Client: Private Sector Technology Company Duration: 6-12 months contract (potential extensions) Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to support the design and implementation of secure, scalable network infrastructure for engineering and R&D lab environments. This role will focus on network segmentation, SD-WAN architecture, firewall policy design, and secure access controls to support isolated and high-security operational environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in enterprise network architecture, NAC solutions, and secure lab connectivity across Aruba or Cisco environments. Responsibilities Design and implement secure network architecture for enterprise and R&D lab environments Own global air-gapped RDL architecture and defend HLD/LLD decisions before security governance. Deep Check Point, SD-WAN, VLAN segmentation, CyberArk vPAM, Zscaler ZTNA and Linux expertise. Design secure package-repository transfer, local identity/RBAC and repeatable site deployment patterns. Develop and maintain: VLAN design and segmentation strategies SD-WAN connectivity solutions Firewall policies and network security controls Architect and support network isolation to protect sensitive lab and engineering environments Implement and maintain NAC/ClearPass onboarding and access controls Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams on network standards and governance Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues Document network architecture, configurations, and operational standards Support scalability, performance optimization, and future-state network planning Qualifications Must-Have Skills Strong experience in network architecture and design expertise in: VLAN design and segmentation SD-WAN technologies Firewall policy design and management ClearPass/NAC solutions Experience supporting R&D lab isolation and secure engineering environments Strong knowledge of Aruba or Cisco networking stacks Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills Nice-to-Have Skills Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or high-security enterprise environments Familiarity with export-control or regulated infrastructure environments Knowledge of automation or infrastructure-as-code for network provisioning Relevant networking certifications (CCNP, CCIE, Aruba certifications, etc.) #IndKyn Please note this is for a contract position with one of our clients and not a fulltime employment role with Kyndryl Canada**
