Overnight Assistant (Awake)

The overnight assistant is responsible for maintaining house safety, implementing behavioral support programs, and assisting core members with personal needs throughout the night. Additionally, the role involves light domestic duties, meal preparation, and documenting night-time routines and observations.

Day Support Assistant - 5 Month Term

The Day Support Assistant provides direct care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities to foster independence and meaningful participation. They are responsible for maintaining accurate records, implementing behavior support plans, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Maintanence Coordinator

On-site · Wolfville

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the general maintenance of residential properties, commercial buildings, and a fleet of vehicles. This role involves coordinating contractors, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and organizational policies.

House Leader - Emmaus House, L'Arche Homefires

The House Leader oversees the daily operations of Emmaus House, fostering an inclusive environment and supporting the personal growth and well-being of core members. They are responsible for managing the assistant team, including scheduling, performance management, and ensuring compliance with all safety and care standards.

Casual/Relief Assistant

The relief assistant supports the daily operations of a L'Arche household by assisting core members with personal care, hygiene, nutrition, and household tasks. They are also responsible for fostering a welcoming community environment and representing the community to families and neighbors.

Communications & Fundraising Coordinator

The coordinator will lead daily communications and fundraising efforts, including developing annual plans and managing digital content. They are responsible for cultivating donor relationships, securing grants, and tracking performance metrics to meet organizational goals.

Overnight Asleep Relief

The Overnight Asleep Relief provides overnight presence in a L'Arche home, responding to resident needs such as bathroom requests, emotional support, or emergencies. Responsibilities also include following community policies, facilitating communication, and administering medication as directed.
