Purpose of the position The position will be responsible for (but not limited to): Conducts daily equipment checks to ensure proper operation within the utility system. Performs procedure and preventative maintenance tasks as required. Respond to public and operational alarm calls to troubleshoot issues and take corrective actions Operate and maintain the treatment, distribution and collection systems as per provincial and federal legislation. Perform daily laboratory samplings and analysis. Participates in “on-call” rotation as needed. Qualifications Please see attached Job Description for further detail. A Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year of related utility experience (water, sewer, natural gas and storm) AWWOA Level I certification in WD, WT, WWC & WWT is preferred Good interpersonal and communications skills. Related Journeyman Trade would be an asset. Related utility tickets would be an asset (Line Locating, PE Fusion, RMO). Natural Gas Utility Operator level 1 would be considered an asset. Basic computer skills, SCADA, MS Word, Excel, Outlook Class 5 Driver’s License is required. The successful candidate will require a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Drivers’ Abstract (documents must be dated within a 6-month period). Position details Full-time permanent position, 2080 hours annually, 40 hour work week, shift work. ) with evening and weekend obligations as required. Requirements

A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related utility experience are required, along with a Class 5 driver's license and good interpersonal and communication skills. AWWOA Level I certifications in water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment are preferred; related trade qualifications, utility tickets, and Natural Gas Utility Operator Level 1 are assets.
