What started as an idea by our president and founder in his university apartment, has grown into a very impressive lineup of beer, offering something to suit everyone?s taste from a light lager to a double IPA to a stout.As a Brewer you'll be heavily involved in all aspects of beer production, from recipe development through to packaging!Why work with us?As a certified Great Place to Work we're proud to offer our team members:- A positive, diverse and inclusive company culture- Paid time off including vacation, personal days and bereavement time, plus annual holiday shut down- Discounts as all our locations- Competitive compensation packages including a base salary plus weekly incentive plan- Team-building activities and training opportunities (so you can be the best at what we do!)- Comprehensive benefits package- Annual company merch allowance and Beer Bucks (free beer!!!)The Role:- Preparation of raw materials for brewing- Brewing beer in accordance with recipes- Preparation and operation of centrifuge filtration- Performing clean in place (CIP) procedures on fermentation/brew house vessels- Completing keg cleaning and filling- Follow standard operating procedures on all production equipment and utilizing PPE when necessary- Assist in product development and creation- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring Health & Safety processes and procedures are followedYour Assets:- Diploma or courses in Brewing Operations with previous experience in commercial brewing, preferred- Proven ability to follow recipe instructions/guidelines- Enthusiasm and a passion for craft beer (a big win for us!)- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to trouble shoot and work through issues- A team player with a "can do" attitude- Attention to detail with the ability to keep organized and maintain accurate records- Strong focus on safety with an understanding of safe chemical handling and proper personal protective equipment usage- Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectivelyWorking Conditions- Four 10 hour shifts scheduled Monday-Friday is the norm for this role, but there may be times when overtime or work outside normal hours may be required- Period of sitting, standing, and walking- Lifting (up to 60lbs), twisting, crouching, and climbing are all regular movements required of this role!Lake of Bays is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity and inclusion throughout our company.
