What you will be doing in the role of Application Engineering, Intermediate (Nuclear): Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Demonstrating strong depth of knowledge and prior experience on selection of final control products and/or measurement devices in industrial plants. Demonstration of application of engineering theory and combining that with engineering management including planning, scheduling and determining overall business and technical risk. Performing detailed technical and commercial specification reviews. Performing necessary performance calculations and analysis, troubleshooting process or product-related issues. Making recommendations to customers as to which products to use on specific applications. This includes optimum balance among product technical details, cost, and customer process requirements. Preparing strong written project proposals with technical collateral. Acting as lead technical contact for customer project engineering and management. Performing detailed review of order/project documentation (drawings, engineering reports, technical procedures, etc.) prior to submission. Growing and maintaining nuclear technical expertise, including seismic qualification, environmental qualification and software qualification and applicable nuclear codes and standards. After Hours support on-call rotation Back-filling for other Application Engineering team members, as necessary. Knowledge and skills required for the role: University Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Minimum Four(4) years’ experience in an Application Engineering/Inside Sales or similar role Knowledge of health and safety issues and regulations Quality Standards, with Nuclear Quality as an asset ANSI, ASME, ASTM, CSA Codes and Standards, with Nuclear Codes and Standards as asset Valve sizing, selection and troubleshooting Process instrument selection and troubleshooting Strategic thinker Analytical skills Results oriented Customer-oriented Effective communication skills What we give YOU!
