Job Description Summary Responsible for supporting the development of and implementation of a facility-wide EHS culture through technical support, program development, and relationship building. Assist with the management of the plant Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs to ensure operations minimize the impact upon the environment and provide a safe and accident-free work environment. Job Description Ensure all facility staff receive appropriate environmental training Champion and support the EHSS Pillar Team, Green Team, and Sustainable Development Program Environmental audit and regulatory inspection preparation Prepare and implement corrective actions from the Environmental Review Participate in environmental audit process at other facilities Review ENV data/info to identify trends & potential areas for risk reduction, own ENV KPIs Communicate potential risks to facility operations leadership and corporate environmental leadership based on evaluation of ENV data Basic & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required. In Sciences (Engineering, Biology or Chemistry) preferred Masters in Engineering or Science preferred 6 – 12 years progressive experience in the environmental/engineering field Expert knowledge of all environmental regulations and their impact on the food industry Experience with developing engineering scope for new equipment to fulfill compliance needs Expert knowledge of operational practices for environmental control systems on water supply, wastewater, air pollution and solid waste.
