LaPrairie Crane is one of Canada’s largest independent mobile-crane companies with fleet capabilities ranging from 5 – 600 tons, including all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain, and tower cranes. LaPrairie Crane is currently looking for an experienced Fleet Specialist to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, organized, adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment. This role will be supporting LaPrairie Crane, Capstan Hauling, ENTREC Alberta, and Northland Fleet Services groups. Responsibilities: Record and manage equipment documents: set up of new equipment and disposals. Ensure all data systems are current and accurate. Review and process annual equipment and vehicle registrations and prorate renewals. Assist in annual corporate asset insurance renewal process. Handle requests and queries from operations (managers) & maintenance (service writers) in a professional and timely manner. Prepare various fleet-related reports for internal review by accountants and executive. Manage fuel cards and prepare and analyze monthly fuel usage. Review and file quarterly IFTA reports. Maintain and complete AMVIC and CVIP renewals. Prepare and maintain intercompany equipment rental agreements. Prepare and coordinate the monthly rental purchase orders. Assist accounting with equipment revenue and cost analysis. Oversee annual asset, equipment and vehicle counts to confirm locations. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications: Previous experience with fleet administration. Previous experience working with asset and/or fleet management programs. Above average proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office is required. Experience plating equipment an asset. Remuneration: Will be based on experience and expertise in fleet maintenance and management. This is an in-office role in Grande Prairie. Remote working options are not being offered.
