We are looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Operator, to be based in Slave Lake, AB. Responsibilities: Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures. Receive directions from site foreman regarding day-to-day operations and tasks. Operate loader in a safe manner as per OEM recommendations. Pre & post inspection checks of the equipment. Maintain accurate records in equipment log. Assist with fueling equipment and maintaining all fluid levels to required specifications. Ensure fuel and fluid quantities are accurately recorded in the inspection log. Assist in the maintenance works of the equipment. Maintain good housekeeping practices at worksites and on equipment. Prepare and submit required daily reports. Perform other functions such as needed. Required Skills: Proven experience in loading Gravel trucks is required Experience operating a Wheel Loader is a must. Early morning start is a must. Arrive early and be ready for work. Ability to multi task is a must, as this position is fast paced and time sensitive to keep gravel trucks on delivery schedule. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required. Ability to work overtime, as needed.
