Up to $100,000 L’Orignal, ON On-site 3+ years Full time THE MANDATE Larouche Raymond is representing a confidential client, a major steel producer in Eastern Ontario whose plant runs around the clock, 24/7. In this environment, electrical reliability is mission-critical — every hour of downtime counts. Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to strengthen its maintenance team in L’Orignal, Ontario. You will play a direct role in the performance and safety of a plant that never stops. THE ROLE DAY TO DAY Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical equipment. Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and restore production quickly on equipment running around the clock. Repair and maintain motors, starters, variable frequency drives and electrical distribution systems. Perform basic troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrumentation. Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings. Assist with the installation and modification of equipment as part of improvement projects. Rigorously apply lockout/tagout procedures and health and safety standards. Document work performed and collaborate with maintenance and production teams. THE IDEAL PROFILE Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician licence (442A or recognized equivalent). Minimum of 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills under pressure. Ability to read electrical schematics and work from drawings. Availability for rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. Autonomy, reliability and team spirit.
