PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR - ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY

As a lecturer in Architectural Technology, you are responsible for imparting your knowledge to students, designing course content, and evaluating learning. Among the skills and concepts taught are : Architectural design and project development; Technical drawing and graphic representation (2D and 3D); Specialized software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign); Building Information Modeling (BIM) and emerging digital tools; Construction systems: wood, steel, concrete and masonry; Materials, building envelope and building mechanics; Quebec Construction Code, Building Standards, Laws and Regulations; Cost estimation, project management and site supervision; Renovation, rehabilitation and survey of buildings; Sustainable development, energy efficiency and sustainable building. Status : Contract - Architectural Technology Program - 221.A0 Location: LaSalle College - Montreal Campus and/or Laval Campus RESPONSIBILITIES Plan course sessions in line with the objectives of the program and the targeted skills; Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner; Design formative and summative assessments according to the competency-based approach; Correct evaluations and ensure constructive feedback from students; Offer personalized follow-up to students and promote their academic success; Be available to meet the educational needs of students outside of class hours; Integrate artificial intelligence technologies and tools into teaching practices; Participate in the continuous improvement of the program and departmental activities. This role involves frequent interactions with international students and team members. REQUIREMENTS Be legally entitled to work in Canada; Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, architectural technology, building engineering, civil engineering or a related field; Have two (2) years of relevant experience in the architecture, construction or building sector; Proficiency in specialized software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and generative AI tools (GenAI); Have taught a full course in the last five (5) years (asset); be a member of the OAQ or the OTPQ or in the process of becoming one; Fluency in the French language (oral and written); Proficiency in the English language at a professional level (oral and written). Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related engineering field and have at least two years of relevant industry experience. Proficiency in specialized architectural software and fluency in both French and English are required.
