Job summary

At Leesta, recently acquired by Pursuit Aerospace, we manufacture precision aerospace components for some of the world's leading aircraft engine and aerospace manufacturers. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team under the supervision of our production manager. As a CNC Machinist, you'll play a pivotal role in executing complex machining operations using lathe machines or multi-axis centers. Responsibilities: Operate and set up CNC machines according to approved programs and work instructions; Load program into the CNC machine and verify proper machine set-up; Load and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling as per set-up sheets; Read and interpret work instructions from technical drawings, manufacturing process sheets, etc.; Perform first-off machining, ensuring parts meet specifications; Monitor machining processes and perform troubleshooting and adjustments within skill level; Verify conformity of parts using instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.; Maintain the work area to the company's standards. Job qualifications: Technical diploma in CNC machining or equivalent training and experience; Demonstrate between 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role; Bilingual proficiency in both French and English, with advanced ability to read and interpret English work instructions; Strong understanding of CNC operations, G-code, and M-code; Availability to work for evening or night shift: Evening shift (3:15 PM - 11:15 PM)—with a $2 premium- Lathe machining Night shift (10:30 PM - 6:30 PM)—with a $3 premium- Multi-axis centers Flexibility to attend initial training on the dayshift (7:15am-3:15pm). *The knowledge of the English language is required for the interpretation of instructions and technical requirements from the customer, which may be provided in English only.
