About the Role: Leis Pet Distributing is a privately owned company with a warehouse and office located in Wellesley, Ontario. As a full line distributor of pet food and accessories, we deliver to a network of over 900 independent Retail Pet Food Stores throughout central and south-western Ontario, northern and eastern Ontario and in the Maritime Provinces. Come and join a dynamic team and help us build the future! We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Warehouse Material Handlers for our night shift. Location: 1315 Hutchison Road, Wellesley, ON Hours: Sunday – Friday, 10:00 pm - 6:00 am A Snapshot of the job: This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for: * picking and filling orders from stock using handheld scanners. * packing and shipping orders. * managing and organizing product in assigned locations. * Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse to comply with health and safety regulations. * Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management for resolution. * Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. * Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals and deadlines. * Rotating stock so that older dates are used first. Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in forklift operation or other warehouse equipment. * Familiarity with inventory management software and barcode scanning technology. * Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Skills: The required skills such as physical stamina and attention to detail are essential for handling daily warehouse tasks like receiving shipments and preparing orders accurately. Basic numeracy and literacy enable you to maintain precise inventory records and communicate effectively with team members. Preferred skills, including forklift operation and familiarity with inventory software, enhance your efficiency and safety when managing stock and equipment. Strong communication skills facilitate teamwork and ensure clear understanding of operational procedures. Together, these skills support a productive, safe, and organized warehouse environment that meets company and customer expectations.
