Job details

Ambition has no passport. That belief is why LemFi exists. We're the financial engine for people the world wasn't built to serve, the millions who move countries to build something better and find the financial system hasn't caught up with them yet. We started with remittances: the money people send home to the people they love. Now we run multi-currency accounts, Savings, eSIMs and Credit. Because staying connected to home and building somewhere new are not two separate things. They never were. About the role As the Senior Growth Manager for the Canada-Nigeria corridor, you'll drive LemFi's expansion across Nigerian communities in one of our most critical markets. This is a growth role that requires you to be equally comfortable traveling to key diaspora hubs to build physical community presence and managing high-leverage organic growth. You will own direct influencer negotiations, manage external agencies, partners and key community leaders, and execute grassroots field marketing. You'll spend 3 to 5 days every few weeks in a new Canadian city, representing LemFi at Nigerian community events, building partnerships, rigorously tracking campaign performance and accelerating user acquisition. You're embedded in the communities we serve, acting as both a strategic thinker and a ground-level operator. You will work across paid channels, organic strategy, local agency partners, and product teams to drive massive user acquisition in this market, while serving as the internal voice of the user. What you'll build and own Travel across Canada 3 to 5 days every few weeks, establishing on-the-ground presence in new cities. Attend community events, build and expand LemFi's community network, network with local leaders and organizations, and grow relationships that build deep, ground-level trust. Develop and execute comprehensive user acquisition strategies tailored to Nigerian ex-pat communities in Canada. Own growth targets for assigned markets and optimize campaigns using data and insights. Source, negotiate directly with, and manage Canada/Nigeria-focused influencers, creators, key community leaders and external agencies to drive scalable organic growth. Lead community-driven initiatives to build trust, awareness and advocacy for LemFi. Organize and participate in local events, meetups and forums. Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and grassroots partners implementing tracking mechanisms to measure the exact customer acquisition cost of your offline activities. Identify, negotiate and manage partnerships with relevant organizations and businesses to accelerate user growth. Ensure partnerships deliver mutual value and measurable outcomes tied directly to user acquisition. Conduct ongoing market research to understand user needs, behaviours and preferences. Provide actionable insights to Product and Marketing teams. Serve as the internal voice of the user, representing community perspectives in decision-making. Your experience At least 5 years of experience in fast-paced environments with a background in growth, sales, marketing or similar. Deep understanding of the Nigerian community in Canada. You're culturally fluent and comfortable immersing yourself in new cultural environments. Proven ability to work against targets and deliver measurable results. You're motivated by ambitious goals and comfortable being measured against clear KPIs. Strong data-driven mindset. You interpret data, track performance and adjust strategies accordingly. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders. You're a persuasive communicator who can influence partners and leaders. Entrepreneurial and tenacious. You take ownership, push through obstacles and find ways to win. Biased to action, you think critically and move quickly. Self-motivated and effective working independently and in remote environments. You're willing to travel extensively and work occasional weekends to support market growth. Nice to have Prior experience launching or scaling ventures in new markets. Background in fintech, payments or diaspora-focused products. Established network within diaspora communities. Why Join LemFi? Your work here puts money back into families' pockets. That's the reward, and the weight of it. You'll take on some of the hardest problems in finance alongside people who do their best work when the stakes are real. We move fast and we expect a lot, because our customers can't afford for us to do otherwise. In return you get room to own real problems, global impact you can see, and a team that won't slow you down. Bring grit and ownership and there's a place for them here. Ambition belongs here, come and show us yours. Follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram and if you haven't already, download the app on the App Store or Google Play.
