What should you expect? As a Naval Architect or Technologist at LVE you’ll enjoy: A mix of office work and site work; Projects ranging from large turnkey design projects to small modification projects; Working as part of a collaborative team on larger projects and working individually when managing your own projects; Developing technical data packages, including drawings, specifications and reports; modelling and hull development; Conducting inclining experiments, structural and stability analyses and power /speed calculations; Participating in industry events and marketing opportunities. Who are we looking to add to our team? The ideal candidate shall Posses a bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in Naval Architecture from an accredited Canadian university or college; have experience with structural design and drafting; have knowledge of Canadian regulations and classification society rules have experience working with regulatory bodies in Canada as well as classification societies; be proficient in English, both written and verbal; be eligible for government security clearance; The following qualifications will be considered assets: 3+ years of work experience in marine design; proficiency in GHS & Rhino professional Finite Element Analysis experience (FEMAP preferred); proficiency in Canadian French.
