Your role Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for splicing cables and manufacturing wire rope slings according to required specifications, while adhering to work procedures and deadlines. The person also operates hydraulic presses. Your Responsibilities Splice cables; Manufacture all types of steel wire rope slings; Measure, cut, roll, and assemble cables and accessories as required; Coil (wind) cable; Operate hydraulic presses; Follow work procedures and deadlines; Complete production reports or other required documentation; Inspect products (compliance / strength) according to internal and external customer requirements; Inform the supervisor of any non-conformities or equipment damage; Participate in the training of new employees; Follow work procedures and deadlines; Comply with ISO standards and procedures; Adhere to occupational health and safety standards; Perform any other tasks required for this position. Profil sought Ability to read and write; Ability to read measurements (imperial and metric); Ability to use a vernier caliper or other measuring instruments; Good manual dexterity; Strong physical capacity; Ability to work in a team; Punctuality; Reliability; Organization and attention to order; High school diploma; Experience in steel cable splicing is an asset.
