The Banking Advisor is a key front-line sales role within Libro Credit Union, responsible for providing high-quality financial advice and day-to-day banking solutions to members. As the primary point of contact for many personal and business members, the Banking Advisor plays a critical role in supporting Libro’s vision of strengthening local businesses, families, and communities. This role is designed to deliver exceptional service while driving sales performance across both personal and business banking lines. The Banking Advisor contributes to the growth and effective management of the branch’s mass-market portfolio by offering tailored solutions for personal banking, day-to-day business banking, and small business lending (up to $250,000). They are also responsible for recognizing opportunities that may require advanced financial advice, facilitating seamless handoffs to Personal or Business Relationship Managers when appropriate. The Role Provide tailored financial advice and solutions to members across both personal and business banking. Support members with day-to-day business and personal banking needs, including opening accounts, expert digital services support, and managing deposits. Offer lending solutions including personal loans, lines of credit, credit cards, and simple mortgage lending. Provide business lending advice up to $250,000, primarily for small businesses, ensuring fast and effective turnaround. Proactively identify opportunities to generate new business, deepen relationships, and consolidate financial services with Libro. Seamlessly transition high-potential or complex financial needs to Personal or Business Relationship Managers for advanced financial solutions. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of small business banking products, including business accounts, small business loans, cash management solutions, and payment services. Act as a trusted advisor for small business members, providing guidance on day-to-day banking, financing, and growth strategies. Proactively promote Libro’s commitment to supporting local businesses and their families through tailored banking solutions. Identify high-potential business members and facilitate introductions to Business Relationship Managers for advanced advisory services. Assist in expanding Libro’s small business banking presence by participating in community events and networking opportunities. What We’re Looking For Diploma or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in a sales or advisory role within the financial services industry. Experience working with personal banking products, business banking products, and small business lending and a proven ability to drive sales and business development through proactive engagement.
