Overview Our client, a top ranked litigation boutique in downtown Toronto, is looking to add an exceptional Commercial Litigation Lawyer with 2-5 years of experience to its growing team. The role will involve working on a broad range of litigation matters. This is an opportunity to work alongside nationally recognized advocates on some of Canada’s most sophisticated and high-profile disputes. As a litigation associate, you will play a meaningful role in every stage of complex litigation, including: Developing litigation strategy with partners and clients Drafting pleadings, motion materials, facta, and other advocacy documents Conducting examinations for discovery and witness preparation Appearing on motions, case conferences, and other court attendances Managing document production and working with experts Conducting legal research and providing strategic advice to clients Working closely with clients on sophisticated commercial disputes from inception through trial or appeal Associates are given significant responsibility, direct client contact, and opportunities for courtroom advocacy early in their careers. Qualifications he successful candidate will have: 2–5 years of post-call experience in commercial litigation at a leading Canadian law firm or litigation boutique Excellent academic credentials Outstanding legal research, writing, and analytical skills Strong advocacy and oral communication abilities Experience drafting complex motion materials and facta Experience conducting discoveries and managing litigation files Superior judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills A collaborative approach and commitment to excellence Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario This is an active opening for a current role.
