Job summary

Position Summary As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as "Dive in Movies" & "Poolapalooza." Job Duties and Responsibilities Greets and interacts with Members Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members ​ Position Requirements Working towards a High School Diploma or GED StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first) Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping Ability to tread water for 1 minute Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs ​ ​ Preferred Requirements 6 months of customer service experience ​ Benefits All team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time: A fully subsidized membership Discounts on Life Time products and services Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with company discretionary match Training and professional development Paid time off where required by law Full-time Team Members are eligible for additional benefits, including: Extended Healthcare coverage Life insurance Adoption assistance Pay This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.60 and pays up to $22.00, based on experience and qualifications.
