The Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Genealogist (hourly contractor) to join our team. This position is crucial in helping our clients trace their European ancestry to support citizenship-by-descent applications. You will conduct genealogical research within the United States and Canada and coordinate with our expert network of genealogists across Europe. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth genealogical research using historical records, databases, and archives within the U.S. and Canada. Collaborate and coordinate with our genealogical partners in Europe. Prepare research summaries and documentation to support European citizenship applications. Communicate with clients to clarify goals and share progress updates. Maintain high standards of client service and confidentiality. Assist with document retrieval, whether located in the U.S. or Canada. What We're Looking For Proven experience in genealogical research (10+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of U.S./Canadian vital records, immigration records, census data, and archival sources. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and remotely. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with European genealogy is a strong asset. Must be based in Canada.
