Founding/Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer Toronto, ON | Full-Time Build AI agents that power real fintech operations. We're building AI agents that don't just answer questions; they automate critical operational work for fintech companies, from reconciliation and onboarding to customer support and financial analysis. These systems run in production, make decisions that matter, and are trusted by paying customers every day. We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, loves building from scratch, and wants to shape the next generation of AI products alongside an experienced founding team. What You'll Do ● Own AI features and products from idea to production with end-to-end responsibility. ● Design and build LLM-powered agents, including prompt engineering, tool orchestration, evaluations, and guardrails. ● Develop across the full stack using TypeScript and Node.js. ● Turn loosely defined problems into scalable, customer-ready solutions. ● Work directly with the founders to build technology that solves real business problems. ● Ship quickly, iterate based on customer feedback, and continuously improve AI reliability. What We're Looking For ● 8+ years of professional software engineering experience. ● Deep experience building production applications with TypeScript and Node.js across the full stack. ● Proven experience shipping LLM-powered products into production. ● Daily user of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) with the ability to evaluate and improve AI-generated code. ● Strong startup background with a track record of owning products end-to-end. ● Comfortable making decisions with limited direction and delivering independently. ● Passion for building new products rather than maintaining legacy systems. Nice to Have ● Experience building AI agents, RAG systems, or evaluation frameworks. ● Fintech or other regulated industry experience. ● Founding engineer or early startup experience. ● Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps ownership.
