Role Description The Paralegal will provide legal and administrative support to lawyers primarily in the areas of business and real estate law, as well as general litigation. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and organizing legal documents, assisting with due diligence for transactions, managing files and calendars, and coordinating communication with clients, courts, and third parties. The role involves conducting legal research, reviewing and summarizing documents, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the preparation of correspondence, agreements, and court materials. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Abbotsford, BC, requiring consistent in-person collaboration with lawyers and staff. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of business, real estate, and litigation practices. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including contracts, conveyancing documents, and court forms. Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties in a professional manner. Ability to conduct thorough Research, including legal precedents, statutes, and transactional information. Attention to detail in Document Review, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal requirements. Paralegal diploma, certificate, or equivalent education and experience in a legal environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple files and deadlines. Proficiency with legal practice management software and standard office applications. Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and collaborative teamwork in a law firm setting.
