SOMMAIRE DU RÔLE Relevant du Chef de service, Services et opérations chantiers, l’Ingénieur de service contribue à des projets hydroélectriques stimulants, incluant la réfection et l’installation de turbines, de génératrices, de systèmes auxiliaires et d’équipements Balance of Plant. Ce rôle combine expertise technique, coordination et présence sur le terrain. La personne participera à la préparation des soumissions, à la planification des travaux, au soutien des demandes de service et aux inspections d’unités, tout en agissant comme point de contact technique auprès des équipes internes, des clients et des sous-traitants afin d’assurer une exécution sécuritaire, efficace et de qualité. PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS Support bureau – Environ 80 % Préparation des soumissions • Piloter la portion chantier des soumissions, en collaboration avec les équipes internes et les partenaires externes. • Définir la stratégie d’exécution, l’échéancier, les besoins en main-d’œuvre, en équipements et en logistique. • Assurer la remise des livrables techniques et chantier dans les délais requis. • Préparer les demandes de prix destinées aux sous-traitants. • Clarifier l’étendue des travaux avec les sous-traitants et soutenir la préparation de leurs propositions. Préparation des travaux sur site • Coordonner les équipements, l’outillage et les services requis pour l’exécution des travaux. • Rédiger les procédures de travaux sur site. • Contribuer à la documentation qualité liée aux interventions sur site. Support aux activités de service • Gérer les demandes de pièces de rechange des clients, de la validation du besoin au suivi des livraisons. • Soutenir les demandes de service technique en analysant les besoins, en identifiant les solutions appropriées et en mobilisant les fournisseurs clés. • Contribuer à la gestion des actifs liés aux activités chantier, incluant les demandes CAPEX, la maintenance, la calibration et la préparation de l’outillage. Support sur site – Environ 20 % • Participer aux visites de sites préalables aux soumissions et aux inspections annuelles des unités. • Offrir un soutien technique lors des appels de service planifiés ou urgents. • Coordonner les travaux sur site avec les clients, les sous-traitants et les équipes internes. 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘́𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗘𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘́𝗦 • Formations en espaces clos, travail en hauteur et cadenassage. • Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités dans un environnement dynamique et orienté échéanciers. • Bonne maîtrise des outils informatiques et techniques, notamment Excel, MS Project, Word, Outlook, Teams, PDF, AutoCAD et SolidWorks. • Bilinguisme français/anglais requis afin de collaborer régulièrement avec des clients et partenaires au Canada, aux États-Unis et en Europe. 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗘𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘́𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 • Minimum de cinq (5) ans d’expérience sur des chantiers de construction, idéalement dans un environnement industriel ou hydroélectrique. • Expérience avec des turbines, génératrices ou systèmes auxiliaires, dans le cadre de projets neufs, de réfections ou de mise en service. • Expérience sur des sites hydroélectriques ou en environnement de service technique — un atout. • Connaissance de la mise en service d’équipements hydroélectriques. • Formation en premiers soins — un atout. CONDITIONS DU TRAVAIL Horaire de bureau : 40 heures par semaine, avec un minimum de deux (2) jours par semaine au bureau (lundi et mercredi). Horaire sur site : généralement de 6 à 10 heures par jour, selon les besoins du chantier. Les appels de service ont généralement une durée de 1 à 3 semaines. ROLE SUMMARY Reporting to the Head of Service and Field Operations, the Field Service Engineer contributes to challenging hydroelectric projects, including the refurbishment and installation of turbines, generators, auxiliary systems, and Balance of Plant equipment. This role combines technical expertise, coordination, and field presence. The incumbent will participate in bid preparation, work planning, support for service requests, and unit inspections, while acting as the technical point of contact for internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution. 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 – 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝟴𝟬% 𝗕𝗶𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 • Lead the field portion of bids, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. • Define the execution strategy, schedule, labour, equipment, and logistics requirements. • Ensure technical and field deliverables are submitted within the required deadlines. • Prepare requests for pricing for subcontractors. • Clarify the scope of work with subcontractors and support the preparation of their proposals. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 • Manage customer spare parts requests, from needs validation to delivery follow-up. • Support technical service requests by analyzing needs, identifying appropriate solutions, and mobilizing key suppliers. • Contribute to the management of assets related to field activities, including CAPEX requests, maintenance, calibration, and tool preparation. 𝗢𝗻-𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 – 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬% • Participate in pre-bid site visits and annual unit inspections. • Provide technical support during planned or urgent service calls. • Coordinate on-site work with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗦 • Training in confined spaces, working at heights, and lockout/tagout. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. • Good command of computer and technical tools, including Excel, MS Project, Word, Outlook, Teams, PDF, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. • Bilingualism in French and English is required in order to collaborate regularly with clients and partners in Canada, the United States, and Europe. 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 • Minimum of five (5) years of experience on construction sites, ideally in an industrial or hydroelectric environment. • Experience with turbines, generators, or auxiliary systems in the context of new projects, refurbishments, or commissioning. • Experience on hydroelectric sites or in a technical service environment — an asset. • Knowledge of hydroelectric equipment commissioning. • First aid training — an asset. WORK CONDITIONS Office schedule: 40 hours per week, with a minimum of two (2) days per week in the office (Monday and Wednesday). Site work schedule: Typically 6 to 10 hours per day, depending on site requirements. Service calls generally range from 1 to 3 weeks in duration.
