Job Description Loblaw is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for the upcoming flu season. Current certificate of registration from College of Nurses of British Columbia (RPN) and ability to provide a copy of the nursing license to indicate good standing is required. Roles And Responsibilities Utilize sound nursing practice principles and provide nursing care in accordance with policy and patients’ physician's orders Identify the needs of patients and develop and maintain appropriate care plans Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the patients Ensure the supply, control and safe keeping of drugs and narcotics and ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts Qualifications RPN - Diploma in Practical Nursing, current registration as Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses Sound nursing knowledge in geriatric care and nursing administration Knowledge of the requirements of the appropriate sections of the Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food & Drug Act Certified for intramuscular injection for influenza shots Must have injection administration certificate and IMMS access (IMMS access can be set up in pharmacy) Must have a current CPR license and valid liability insurance Our commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact. Requirements
