Job summary
JOB DESCRIPTION: FILM LIAISON Location Fixer is a leading film location company that manages filming across Greater Vancouver & BC and now Calgary, Alberta. We have been in operation for 14+ years, providing exclusive location management services to unique locations and Productions of all sizes. Responsibilities include but not limited to: ● On-site Film Liaison at our various film sites, supervising prep, shoot and wrap activity ● Looking after the location and ensuring it gets returned back to its original condition ● Attending on site film scouts and surveys ● Ensuring health and safety procedures are being followed ● Reporting maintenance issues if necessary ● Answering film crew questions ● Following Filming Guidelines for each location and ensuring the film crews follow them ● Keeping a detailed online log and documenting the location with photos. Renumeration: Starting Rate: Regular shifts - $30 per hour (4 hr min.) Overtime shifts (after 10 hours) - $45 Cell Phone Allowance - $2.50 per day Hours: Contractor position. Weekend + evening work may be required. Where: You will be on location across Calgary. Reliable vehicle essential. Skills and Qualifications: Ideally you will have some exposure working within the Film production industry. Previous experience co-ordinating shoots and/or locations would be helpful, although a “can-do” attitude and prior work multi-tasking in a team environment is a good foundation to build on. You should be able to demonstrate you’re eager to learn and have a strong interest in pursuing a career in film and locations. ● A good interest in, and some basic knowledge of property maintenance ● Strong communication skills to build a good rapport with Production clients and location owners ● Proficiency in computer programs/ apps such as Google Drive ● Strong attention to detail and organization skills ● Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality + punctuality ● Ability to multi- task and be a self- starter ● Solid work ethic and positive attitude Please email your cover letter and resume to [email protected] / [email protected]
