Description du poste Loeven Morcel est à la recherche d’un·e ébéniste senior à temps plein pour se joindre à son atelier de Montréal. La personne titulaire du poste réalisera des projets sur mesure, de la lecture des plans à la fabrication, l’assemblage et la préparation des pièces pour la finition. Elle participera notamment à : la préparation et la sélection des matériaux; l’usinage et la fabrication des composants; l’assemblage et le montage des pièces en atelier; la fabrication de mobilier sur mesure et d’éléments de menuiserie architecturale; la préparation des pièces pour la finition; le contrôle des dimensions, de la qualité et des détails de finition; l’installation chez les client·es, au besoin; la collaboration avec les équipes de conception et de production; le respect des standards de qualité, des échéanciers et des méthodes de travail de l’entreprise; le maintien d’un environnement de travail sécuritaire, propre et organisé, conformément aux règles de santé et sécurité. La personne recherchée est minutieuse, autonome et collaborative. Elle possède une véritable passion pour le métier et est capable de mener des projets complexes tout en partageant ses connaissances et en guidant les membres plus juniors de l’équipe lorsque nécessaire. Qualifications Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience pratique en ébénisterie professionnelle, idéalement dans la fabrication de mobilier sur mesure haut de gamme. Solide maîtrise de l’ébénisterie et du travail du bois, incluant la réalisation de meubles et d’éléments sur mesure. Expérience en menuiserie architecturale : fabrication de boiseries, panneaux, moulures et éléments intégrés. Excellente capacité à lire et interpréter des plans et dessins techniques. Maîtrise des outils manuels et des machines stationnaires utilisés en atelier. Grande précision dans les assemblages, l’usinage et les détails de finition. Souci aigu de la qualité et du travail bien fait. Rigueur dans le respect des échéanciers et des standards de qualité. Bonne capacité à travailler en équipe et à communiquer efficacement avec les collègues et la direction de projet. Capacité à travailler de façon sécuritaire et à maintenir un environnement de travail organisé. Diplôme ou formation pertinente en ébénisterie ou en menuiserie, un atout. Our 17,000 sq. ft. workshop is home to a passionate team of designers, cabinetmakers, and finishers who bring complex residential, commercial, and institutional projects to life. Position Description Loeven Morcel is seeking a Senior Cabinetmaker to join our Montreal workshop on a full-time, 100% on-site basis. The successful candidate will work on custom projects from plan reading through fabrication, assembly, and preparation for finishing. Responsibilities include: preparing and selecting materials; machining and fabricating components; assembling and fitting pieces in the workshop; building high-end custom furniture and architectural millwork; preparing components for finishing; checking dimensions, quality, and finishing details; assisting with on-site installations when required; collaborating with the design and production teams; meeting company quality standards and project deadlines; maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, collaborative, and passionate about the craft. They are comfortable taking ownership of complex builds and sharing their knowledge with junior team members when needed. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional cabinetmaking experience, preferably in high-end custom furniture fabrication. Strong cabinetmaking and woodworking skills, including custom furniture and component fabrication. Experience with architectural millwork, including woodwork, panels, mouldings, and built-in elements. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. Proficiency with hand tools and stationary woodworking machinery. Excellent precision in joinery, machining, assembly, and finishing details. Strong attention to quality and craftsmanship. Ability to meet deadlines and consistently maintain high-quality standards. Strong teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with colleagues and project management. Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining an organized workshop. Diploma or training in cabinetmaking or woodworking is an asset.
