Video - Loewen Windows - More than a Window [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tWkQbo3H-k] The Machine Operator in our Terrace Door (TD) Fab department creates and prepare the components used in assembly by our internal customers in Custom Shop, Specialty, and Terrace Door. Partnerships are key as we work together, with other departments and shifts, as well as within our own department, where our operators have experience on the different types of equipment throughout TD Fab. Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm In this position, you will: * Operate equipment according to safe operating procedures * Ensure components are within tolerances, meeting specifications and quality standards * Ensure work area is kept clean and free of safety hazards * Ensure equipment is operating efficiently * Identify, address, and communicate all possible situations regarding production, quality, personnel, and safety to leadership * Perform preventative maintenance as required * Flex and cross train as required You will bring: * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written * Ability to work independently within a team environment * Mechanically inclined * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage workload * Basic math skills * Ability to interpret drawings, and take and interpret measurements * Ability to lift 25-50 lbs repeatedly The following will be considered assets: * Machinery experience * Woodworking experience professionally or as a hobby Why work at Loewen? The Machine Operator is responsible for operating equipment to create and prepare components for window and door assembly while ensuring quality standards and safety protocols are met. They must also perform preventative maintenance, maintain a clean work area, and communicate production or safety issues to leadership.

Candidates must possess mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements. Effective communication skills and the ability to lift 25-50 lbs repeatedly are required for this role.
