Shift: Tuesday - Friday - 6:00am - 4:30 pm Shipping team members have the crucial step of ensuring our product leaves Loewen to travel to our customers. The team ensures that all the required units for a customer’s order are organized, meet our packaging standards, and are loaded efficiently onto the trucks for safe transport. In this role, you will be responsible to: * Work as a member of the shipping team focusing on efficiency, safety, and quality * Inspect units prior to being received, ensuring that units meet quality, packaging and height restrictions, and standards * Scan units prior to storage or loading and ensure units are stored and loaded into appropriate location * Physically transport units to and from the allocated bin * Ensure units are stored and loaded correctly and ensure on- time completion * Train new staff * Complete regular dock audits * Build crates for glass and windows * Flex and cross train as required by leadership * Other duties as assigned You will bring: * Positive work experience in current position * Effective interpersonal, communication and customer service skills * Strong mathematical skills * Ability to read, write and speak English * Strong focus on safety, quality and precision details * Ability to frequently lift up to 100lbs., or more with assistance * Ability to stand and walk throughout the day * Punctuality and team commitment * Experience in manufacturing, wood working, carpentry is an asset Why work at Loewen?
