Responsibilities What your days look like as a Superintendent: Plan the implementation of ship loading and unloading operations; Determine the equipment and labour required for operations; Coordinate the execution of maritime operations and cargo handing on the terminal; Supervise the work teams under your responsibility; Enforce health and safety guidelines in the workplace; Prepare performance and cost control reports; Represent the company in various committees or assemblies. Qualifications To succeed as a Superintendent you must have: Experience supervising unionized staff; Ability to work outdoors and on different work shifts; Demonstrate autonomy, team spirit, flexibility and judgment; Decision-making ability; Ability to communicate in English and French (written and spoken); Given the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, pan‑Canadian, and international clients and partners, proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, is required.
