As a Truck and trailer or Heavy-duty Mechanic: Inspect and repair Garbage Trucks, support vehicles and smaller off-road equipment in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner. Conduct preventative maintenance using scheduled inspections to ensure all equipment and systems are operational and maintain sufficient level of operational trucks in the fleet. Maintain accurate work orders and parts charge outs using an electronic work order system Complete all safety checks and record all tire and brake measurements in the company database. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Works independently as well as under direction of the journeyperson mechanics and lead hands. Will be required to learn and service all post collection processing equipment and perform facility work as needed. Shift: Monday to Friday - Weekly Rotating shifts of 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 9:30 am to 6:00pm. Additionally, will be required to work 6:00am to 2:30pm every 5th Saturday. Rate: up to $43.27 based on experience. What You’ll Get From Us: Pay based on experience.
