Valid Class 5 license (Class 3 is an asset) Experience driving a 5-ton truck Manual and powered forklift and pallet jack experience an asset Clean drivers abstract preferred Dangerous goods experience is an asset Electronic log usage is an asset Great people skills and ability to integrate with many teams Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Time management and problem-solving skills What You’ll Do: Operate 5-ton trucks to transport goods to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods. Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status. Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with Shippers, Managers and customers. Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage. Report any incidents or accidents to the HD Truck Manager. Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition. Ensure the Delivery Store is left secure, locked up and armed. Use Checkmate App to report in on the set times. Comply with company policies and procedures giving special attention to ensure safety and health regulations in the warehouse and stores are followed and enforced. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements
Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Experience with 5-ton trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills.
