Job Description: LTL Group has been providing heavy civil construction services in Northern Ontario with a dedicated team of knowledgeable and experienced staff. With our comprehensive range of services, we can provide integrated solutions for any project requirements. LTL Contracting is looking to hire a HSE Coordinator for a job at New Gold. Key Responsibilities Maintain and regularly update safety management systems and compliance platforms (e.g., ISNetworld, Contractor Compliance, etc.). Oversee health and safety programs across the LTL Group of Companies, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a strong safety culture throughout all operations. Review, update, and distribute the LTL Safety Manual, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and documentation. Lead, mentor, and manage the Safety Team to ensure effective implementation of HSE initiatives and maintaining accountability within the department. Chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Coordinate Hazard Identification and Near Miss reporting processes, including meeting facilitation, documentation, and follow-up actions. Manage documentation and correspondence related to WSIB claims and ensure timely communication with stakeholders. Maintain adequate inventory of HSE supplies, including procurement and tracking. Collect, analyze, and report HSE performance data to monitor progress toward safety goals, targets, and KPIs. Support the delivery and tracking of Health and Safety orientation and training for all new employees. Support supervisors with the training needed to properly fill out required paperwork and determine frequency of documents required (JSA’s FLHA’s, inspections, etc.) Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and occupational illnesses; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure adherence to the LTL Quality Management System and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Drive ongoing enhancements to the company’s HSE program and processes. Lead the company’s efforts toward achieving and maintaining COR to reinforce our commitment to safety excellence.
