Services are offered in-center, and in the community. This position is part of our interdisciplinary consultation team that support a broad range of programs and services at Lumenus.</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Through the administration of standardized diagnostic tests or informal assessment measures completes assessments and identifies problem areas for clients who are referred for occupational therapy service;</li><li>Establishes written treatment goals and plans to address client problem areas;</li><li>Provides direct and indirect client care in accordance with the treatment plan;</li><li>Evaluates the impact of occupational therapy intervention on identified problems;</li><li>Maintains communication with all other team members regarding client care;</li><li>Participates in meetings with other community-based service providers who are involved in client's care;</li><li>Documents occupational therapy involvement in client record;</li><li>Provide suggestions and materials to support staff and other service providers involved with the child's treatment plan;</li><li>Review assessment findings with the client's family and service team, if applicable;</li><li>Provide modeling of therapeutic strategies to support staff, educators, and others to ensure consistency in all teaching environments;</li><li>Provide consultative services to family members, other caregivers and other community agencies involved with the child/client.</li><li>When necessary and with parental consent, support referrals to outside professionals.</li><li>Maintains clinical competence;</li><li>Maintains communication with all other staff members;</li><li>Supports Lumenus' efforts in quality assurance activities, as required;</li><li>Participates in education, orientation, and public relations, as required.</li><li>Maintains a safe work environment;</li><li>Performs designated administrative duties;</li><li>Performs other related duties, as assigned.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b><strong>QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS:</strong></b></p><ul><li>Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent</li><li>Registration with College of Occupational Therapists.</li><li>2 years' experience in a related clinical setting.</li><li>Experience working with children and youth with mental health, autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities is considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge and application of the Occupational Therapy framework, philosophy and theory, interpretation of standardized and non-standardized assessments, knowledge of development (typical/non-typical), of augmentative <span class="long-word">communication/writing</span> assessments, and of appropriate OT intervention strategies and techniques.</li><li>Well-developed communication skills including verbal, non-verbal, presentation and listening skills.</li><li>Knowledge and experience in implementing principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis is considered an asset.</li><li>Experience supporting children and youth with sensory processing difficulties.</li><li>Strong consultation and conceptual analysis sk
