This position offers the opportunity to serve as a technical lead on electrical engineering projects focused on power generation facilities, developing engineering solutions that support the modernization, reliability, and long-term operation of critical energy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Lead or support multidisciplinary project teams as a technical specialist or project engineer. Develop electrical engineering design packages for power generation and industrial facilities. Prepare and review: One-line and three-line diagrams Motor control and breaker schematics Wiring and interconnection diagrams Cable sizing calculations and cable schedules Load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, motor starting, battery sizing, and protective relay studies using ETAP, SKM, or similar software Equipment layouts and installation drawings Develop equipment specifications and bills of materials for procurement and construction. Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements. Coordinate with clients, project stakeholders, and construction teams. Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions and support project execution. Utilize engineering design and document management tools such as AutoCAD, ProjectWise, ETAP, and Microsoft Office applications. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams. Ideal Background Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of electrical engineering experience within power generation, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, utilities, or other large-scale infrastructure environments. Experience performing power system studies, electrical design calculations, and preparation of construction deliverables. Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, protection and control, and power system analysis. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario preferred. Prior experience supporting nuclear facilities is advantageous, though candidates with conventional power generation, industrial plant, or utility backgrounds may also be considered. Additional Information Position is based in the Greater Toronto Area and requires candidates to be located in or willing to relocate to the region. Candidates must be eligible to satisfy applicable project and regulatory requirements associated with supporting international nuclear programs. Candidates should have experience with electrical design calculations, power system studies, and construction deliverables; an Ontario P.Eng. designation is preferred, and nuclear facility experience is advantageous.
