We are searching for our next Executive Leader The M Group is entering an exciting period of continued evolution. As part of a leadership transition, we are seeking a strategic and people-focused Vice President of Property Management to join our Executive Leadership Team. Working alongside the President & CEO and other senior leaders, you will help drive our mission to empower communities through exceptional management and strategic real estate investment. You will set the strategic direction for our property management portfolio, strengthen financial and operational performance, coach an operational leadership team, and lead the department’s digital and policy transformation. The opportunity This is a strategic executive leadership role supporting The M Group’s condominium, non-profit, residential, and commercial asset classes. The operational leaders responsible for these portfolios will report directly to you,working in close alignment to advance shared priorities, strengthen financial and operational performance, and deliver a consistent client and community experience. You will provide the direction, coaching, and accountability needed to bring the divisions together while supporting sustainable growth across the portfolio. What you will lead Set and execute a portfolio-wide strategy aligned with The M Group’s mission, values, and organizational priorities, while aligning with the other executive leaders. Lead financial performance through disciplined budgeting, forecasting, variance management, capital planning, contract economics, and portfolio-level decision-making. Coach, mentor, and hold senior leaders accountable while building leadership capability, succession depth, and a strong performance culture. Lead the department’s digital transformation, including Yardi optimization, workflow automation, data governance, dashboards, adoption, and change management. Establish and sustain standardized policies, procedures, controls, service standards, reports, and operating playbooks across all property management divisions. Strengthen client and board confidence, support retention, and ensure growth opportunities are financially sound, strategically aligned, and operationally deliverable. Provide executive oversight of capital plans, major contracts, vendor strategies, compliance, risk management, and business continuity. Strong practical understanding of building systems, property maintenance, construction, and capital planning. Ability to provide executive oversight of development and redevelopment projects. Collaborate effectively with The M Group’s maintenance and construction teams. The leadership profile we are seeking A strategic, growth-minded executive who can see the whole system and translate enterprise priorities into practical, measurable plans. A financially astute leader who is confident interpreting financial statements, challenging assumptions, evaluating business cases, and making sound portfolio decisions. An effective executive leader who delegates well, leads through supporting other leaders to discover the solution to every day-to-day issue. A committed coach and mentor who gives clear feedback, develops people, supports succession, and creates accountability with respect. A confident change leader who can build understanding, adoption, and momentum through periods of transformation. A strong believer in standardized policies and procedures, paired with the judgment to continuously improve them. A collaborative executive who earns trust with employees, clients, boards, owners, and cross-functional partners. Experience and qualifications University degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and senior leadership experience may be considered. At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in property management or real estate operations, including accountability for leaders, multi-property portfolios, financial performance, and organizational change. Ability to read and understand blueprints and a good working knowledge of construction. Strong knowledge of multi-residential, commercial, condominium, and/or non-profit property operations, building systems, facilities management, and capital planning. Demonstrated experience with enterprise property-management systems such as Yardi, data analytics, workflow automation, or large-scale process improvement. Experience leading complex capital projects, major contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk-management priorities. Valid Ontario driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly to properties and stakeholder meetings.
