Job details

Content Coordinator You make the scroll stop. At m5, Atlantic Canada's largest independent agency, we turn insights into ideas that move people — and increasingly, that means moving them on a screen they're holding six inches from their face. We need someone who lives on social, gets what makes people stop, watch, laugh, save and share, and can go from concept to camera to caption without breaking stride. We're looking for a Content Coordinator to join our Halifax team and help our clients show up on social like they mean it. What you'll be doing: Planning, shooting and editing social-first content across Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok — for clients big and small. Writing captions, posts and scripts that sound like a human wrote them (because one did). Ability to design static graphics that hold their own in a crowded feed (the ability to do motion graphics is a nice to have). Building and managing content calendars, and keeping multiple client accounts posting on schedule. Staying glued to platform trends, formats and algorithm shifts — and bringing fresh ideas to the team before everyone else catches on. Monitoring comments and messages, and jumping in on community management when a client needs it. Pulling together performance reports and turning the numbers into next steps, not just a screenshot of analytics. Working closely with our creative, strategy and account teams to keep content on-brand and on-brief. Occasional travel to client locations or events for on-site shoots. What you bring to the table: At least 2 years of experience creating content for social media (agency, in-house or a seriously impressive personal brand all count). Hands-on comfort shooting and editing photo and video content — phone, DSLR/mirrorless, whatever gets the shot. A good eye for design, with working knowledge of tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or CapCut. A way with words — you can write a caption that actually sounds like something a human would say. Real fluency in Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok, including what makes each platform's audience tick. Organizational skills that keep multiple clients and deadlines straight without letting anything slip. A collaborative streak and the openness to take feedback and run with it. Bonus points for basic knowledge of social scheduling or analytics tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, etc.). Why you'll love m5: You'll work with some of Atlantic Canada's most exciting brands. Be part of a team that values creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. Grow your skills with mentorship, professional development, and new challenges. Competitive salary, solid benefits, and opportunities to grow in ways that matter to you. You'll join a team that believes collaboration beats ego every time. You'll have the freedom to push ideas further, supported by people who love what they do. Sounds like your next big move? Send us your resume and a portfolio or reel of your work, and if you really want to impress, tell us about a piece of content you saw recently that stopped your scroll, and why. Don't meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that equity-deserving individuals are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. The m5 Group of companies is an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. If you are excited about this role but your experience doesn't perfectly align with every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this or other roles. If you require accommodation to participate in this recruitment, please get in touch with join-our-team-accommodations@m5.ca (accommodation requests only; other emails will not be read). This position is located in our Halifax, NS office and is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis. Apply by October 16, 2026 stating the position title “Content Coordinator – Halifax, NS” to Human Resources at join-our-team@m5.ca.
