Job summary
The advisor captures and defines business needs for prioritized initiatives to produce high-level analyses of benefits, value, and impacts. They provide recommendations to support decision-making processes while leaving delivery execution to dedicated teams.
Job details
The client is looking for a business architecture advisor who works upstream of delivery, on initiatives that have already been prioritized. The work involves capturing and defining business needs, then producing a high-level analysis covering expected benefits, sought value, main impacts and a preliminary delivery scope. These analyses feed recommendations on how initiatives should move forward: the role primarily serves decision making, while delivery remains with the delivery teams, which the advisor supports only as needed. The experience threshold is ten years, including five in business architecture and transformation programs, and insurance domain knowledge is described as a significant asset. Target candidate: a senior business architect with at least five years of practice in transformation programs, used to turning a prioritized initiative into defined needs, expected benefits and a preliminary scope. Their background shows recommendations that supported decisions on the next steps of initiatives, ideally in the insurance sector. REQUIRED Experience in business architecture and in transformation programs Conceptual and synthesis skills Understanding of organizational context and corporate strategies Requirements DESIRED No requirement classified as desired in the mandate. ASSET Knowledge of the insurance domain (significant asset) Profiles to Exclude: ▸ Business analyst profile whose experience covers detailed requirements in the delivery phase, with no demonstrated definition of needs upstream of prioritized initiatives. ▸ Solution or technical architect profile with no demonstrated business architecture deliverable. ▸ Profile with 10 years in IT but fewer than 5 years in business architecture. ▸ Business architecture practiced outside transformation programs, with no demonstrated role within a program. ▸ Profile whose analyses are limited to documentation, with no demonstrated contribution to recommendations on next steps for initiatives.
