Job Responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB: Immediate, open position $31.97 - $47.02 per hour Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology (3-year Robot or Automation Program) Experience with automation equipment required (3 years) Experience with automated process equipment and calibration Experience with closed-loop process control Experience with the use of mechanical and electrical tools Experience with 3D math data and SolidWorks Strong Knowledge of ABB Robotics S4P and IRC5 platforms Strong knowledge of ABB Robot Studio programming Strong knowledge of various network tools and troubleshooting Ability to interpret fluid, pneumatic and electrical schematics Knowledge of conveyor tracking an asset Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs an asset Knowledge of classifications for hazardous environments an asset Must be dynamic to work any shift, weekdays, weekends, or holidays Main Duties Calibrate and maintain ABB Robot Studio simulation environment High level robotic programming, implementation, and troubleshooting of paint process Focus on CI for material and energy savings Design and manage equipment predictive maintenance programs and processes Support maintenance during equipment repairs and validation Maintenance of all paint programming software, application files and computer backups Proactively identify and correct issues with cycle time and robot collisions Support new equipment installations Create technotes and training documentation Create and maintain recovery, homing and dynamic test procedures and programs Coordinate with external suppliers on equipment and product problems or issues Performs other duties as assigned Awareness, Unity, Empowerment At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
