The Supervisor, Mobile Maintenance is responsible for delivering sustainable and reliable mobile maintenance at Levack Mine. This includes supervising crews, managing resources, and promoting a safety-first culture. All Magna Mining team members are expected to work collaboratively with others, lead the way in health and safety, act with honesty, integrity, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in pursuit of excellence. Responsibilities: Supervise daily maintenance activities for mobile equipment (e.g., scoop trams, haul trucks, drills, bolters, and utility vehicles). Monitor compliance with maintenance plans, mine plans, production targets, and safety standards. Ensure safe work practices are followed and that all workers comply with regulatory and company policies (OHSA, MTCU, WSIB, etc.). Conduct daily pre-shift safety meetings, inspections, and workplace exams. Assign tasks to crew members based on skills, qualifications, and maintenance priorities. Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards. Implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of shift activities, production data, equipment use, and timekeeping. Communicate effectively with technical services, operations, and surface operations teams. Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed according to schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and support operational targets. Collaborate with planners and engineers to prioritize work orders, allocate resources, and improve maintenance practices. Monitor parts usage and ensure adequate inventory levels in collaboration with the warehouse and supply chain teams. Assign work, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to maintenance crews. Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance practices, equipment performance, and cost efficiency. Support the implementation of new technologies, digital systems, and predictive maintenance practices. Requirements Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents Certified tradesperson - Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (HDET) or equivalent technical background. Work Experience: Nature & Length 7 or more year of mobile maintenance experience 2 or more years of experience in a leadership role. Key Competencies: Behaviours & Skills Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills. Sound knowledge of mobile maintenance standards. Familiarity with mining regulations, occupational health and safety practices and emergency response. Proven ability to successfully lead teams in a dynamic and physically demanding environment.
